I'm trying to decide which celebrity sighting from last week's NYC excursion was the most exciting. I think a Poll is in order.

If [info]puppetoflove were around I know would definitely be a no brainer for her. (As well it should.) Plus, I just need one other person to talk to about Mandy Moore's new CD. It's great.

Made Next to Normal Wallpaper. Apparently back to Broadway after the bandom hijinks. Shuffling between two extremely alienating fandoms (Broadway being so inaccessible, bandom being so creepy and immature) is lonely and confusing, but at least I'll always have repeated floral patterns. (Some bandom dude needs to do Broadway. In a show with Scott Porter, just to tie in Friday Night Lights. The show too perfect for me to make into a fandom but would technically count as my other main fandom if I could do so.)

[info]puppetoflove is awesome, because when I showed it to her she told me it reminded her of my old creepy Ryan and the Cohens wallpaper with the unsettling Duran Duran lyrics and creepy Upscale Family Of Doom aesthetic. The OC art was fun, you guys.

Got friended by quite a character. The reason? "I friended you so I can track what you say about Adam. You wax poetic about me cyber bullieing you yet you say very mean things about Adam ALL THE TIME. I think YOU need to grow up. AND correct me if I am wrong but didn't he kick you off his website? You didn't even come up with the lady jeams thing I DID"

Oh, bless. Welcome, [info]yellow_penguin1. Maybe if you keep being so nice to me I'll friend you too and you can see what I'm saying behind your back. (Here's a sneakpeek: I'm totes just trollin' you guys because one of you said awful things about my mother. Sarah, you're just dumb. Lynne is kind of evil.)

  • Watching Gilmore Girls (out of bad reality TV and Gossip Girls, saving Dollhouse for when I can pay attention), oversized beige Obese Grandma nightgown, cleaning my room at 4 am.

  • Have a twitter now, hiding that fact between more embarrassing things.

  • Can't understand why Adam Pascal's fans don't think AdamPascalMusic.net is a pertinent link for his Wikipedia and continue to edit it out. Even when I called it 'Adam Pascal and the Terrible, Horrible, Very Bad, No Good Site' they still edited it out. It's like they have no respect for literary reference or hilarious Photoshops of their dude dressed like a vagina.

  • Will have the following as a poster, very shortly:

Jeaaaaallous, amirite.

I made my second fanvid last night/this morning. I enjoy it, and think that I'm fairly good at it, but I swear I'm so lazy. Neither time did I have any desire to try out any bitchin' effects. I was mostly just content to cut clips and lol at the things that did (or hilariously didn't) match up. I'm also lazy because every time I've made an attempt with a TV show, I was all "eugh, too many videos" and gave up. Perhaps now that I have an external harddrive I'll finally be able to make my surprise Dalek/Cyberman romance vid.

Bobby from Company. Womanizer. (Don't you judge me, this is amazing.)

Or, my first one. And an Empires wallpaper, while I'm posting. )

In about 8 hours I'll be embarking on the most impromptu road trip I've ever been on. On Tuesday night I tell my mom "Hey guess what! Adam Pascal has a herniated disc in his back!" and she was all "o rly?" and I was all "Yes, but the news gets even better! Because of that, Cary Shields will be going on for him in Rent for their entire stop in Detroit! Would you like to go?"

and she, shockingly enough, said yes. Cary Shields holds a special place in her heart for personally introducing her to Raul Esparza, and signing her Company Playbill 'Cary Shields as April'. That's a long story. Anyway. I had absolutely no intention to go see Rent at all on this tour, but in 12 hours I'll be in Detroit. Strange how these things work out.

See how he beckons with his shy contemplative nature. (lol.)

Even if I don't feel like watching the thing for the next two years, it'll still be worth the 20 dollars I spent on 'Rent Filmed Live On Broadway' just for this moment.

I'm also trying to convince myself that, considering my credit card debt, I don't actually have enough money for countless concert tickets, a button maker, computer upgrades, or any new fashion accessories. But I'm sure at least one of those things will be purchased.

You figure I would have gotten over the insane urge to own a button maker sometime in the last 5 years, but it only seems to get worse.

I was going to make this for [info]puppetoflove for Christmas, but that came and went. So she gets it for New Years. Mostly because Guitargyle would be the best name for a band ever. Nobody steal that.

The great thing about disastrous illnesses that leave you financially incapable of buying Christmas presents? The fact that at least I have a reason, and can be chill about it. Also, I've yet to have some grumpy old lady at work chew me out because I dared tell her "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas", so I'm hoping the War On Christmas conspiracy is on its way to being a thing entirely of the past.

I have a tradition around here. I post so infrequently that if you go down a few posts you can see that tradition repeated. But, I feel like now more than ever is a good time for Merry RPattz. Remember, folks, the guy has been hilarious to some of us for years now.

Right?

Robin and Barney approve! They should team up with Isaacs and Pattinson and throw the best Holiday party ever.

I got strep throat last Monday. I tried to sleep it off, and I worked through it on Thanksgiving night, but I ended up having to go to the ER on Friday. I had to call off my shifts today and tomorrow, and because of that I've lost my Holiday pay, my monthly bonus, all my paid time off, and of course the 16 hours of pay. Because I had to get strep throat right at the exact time that it would basically ruin everything in my life. And I feel awful. I think [info]puppetoflove has it too, if anyone is wondering where she went after I kidnapped her for a week.

Also, my DVD player broke.

I hope everyone else's Holiday season is going better, and that no one got trampled on Black Friday. I think all I want for Christmas are some Converse and maybe a monkey.

I'm gonna print that out for my wall. It's gonna be dope. Wish me luck recovering by my Empires and Forgive Durden show this coming Thursday. I don't think Sean Van Vleet has the necessary antibodies to fight off my strep throat if he comes in for The High Ten again.

Why won't the dude from Rent leave me alone already? Apparently the mocking nickname I made up for him a few years ago was so internet-pervasive, HIS ACTUAL FAMILY calls him that now. Apparently he felt the need to share that fact with the internet today. [info]puppetoflove replaced him with Ryan Ross in a bonnet, Will Chase replaced him as the best Roger performance captured on film, and now he's just trying to remind me he exists.

Sad really.

Steve Page, there's a good time to get arrested on drug charges and a bad time to get arrested on drug charges.

Good time? Let's say... Everything to Everyone. Good album, awful singles, final nail in the coffin of being forever seen as an ineffectual toothless goofball asshole.
Bad Time? KIDS ALBUM. Six Year Olds With Crippling Ennui everywhere are gonna be denied your empathic ballads, bb.

My little niche fandoms are fucking with me so hardcore. First I get cyber-bullied by Adam Pascal. He eventually took down the worst of it because his mom told him to. Now there's this, which is even more surreal.

I think I'm gonna go join bandom, where the mindfuck is built into the construct and nothing ever has to be earnest.

Leave it to me to ruin an opportunity to make something halfway mainstream. So, I make Sweeney Todd art, but it's the 2005 Broadway revival and not the movie. Because, well, awesomer.

Is it something unique to My So Called Life that all of the extras were awful actors, or is it a 1994 thing? It makes more sense that it'd just be the show itself, but there's something about the specificity of the badness that seems so dating.

Anywayz! Going to New York again tomorrow. For the 6th time in just over a year. It's not a habit, it's cool, I feel alive. Let's all hope that Little Mermaid on Broadway is better experienced via the unique haze of Greyhound travel sleep deprivation. I could see this working to its advantage.
